Reusable?? Umm... no thanks.
There is a stigma around usable goods. Sometimes they're just... not a luxury experience.
I hate to say it, but creating the Halo Cup wasn't about creating another usable product. The fact that it is usable makes it 10000x better. Truthfully, I came across a menstrual cup by accident. It was a wonder product - why aren't more people using this? I literally forget I'm on my period when I use one, UM HELLO? Isn't that enough to make someone try it?
Butttt, it looks scary. And fear is a driver we are trying to mitigate as it stops people from trying something that could be better. I challenge you. Not just with menstrual cups, but in general life. Think about the worst-case scenario, and if you're OK with it. Go with the fear. Feel the fear, and do it anyway (thanks, Susan Jeffers).
And if you happen to try my menstrual cup after reading this blog post, please write a review and add "she told me so" in it, so I know this blog post spoke to someone.
